Why Analogish exists
The feeling of film. The simplicity of just taking a photo.
A photograph should feel like something.
What I love about film is the way it makes everyday life feel worth keeping. The warmth, the grain, the gentle imperfections. A photograph can hold the feeling of a moment as well as the details.
I wanted to bring a little of that character to the camera I always have with me, with a look I enjoy straight out of camera. Less editing. More living.
A camera, wherever I go.
I use a mix of cameras, including Fujifilm, but mostly move between higher-tech Nikon and lower-tech Leica, shooting both analog and digital. I love collecting characterful vintage lenses and their Chinese replicas, and taking them out on photowalks whenever I can.
Whether I’m travelling for business or leisure, there’s usually a camera coming along. A walk with a camera is a reason to slow down, take a different turn, and notice the little things.
Ready when the moment is.
The best camera is the one you always have with you: your phone. A once-in-a-lifetime shot can unfold just when you’ve packed light and left your camera behind. And when you’re with your kids, the moments worth keeping rarely wait. Your phone is already within reach.
I wanted a good, simple camera app I could open straight from my lock screen. No account to create, no signup before the first photo, and no bloat between me and the moment.
I didn’t want hundreds of filters to scroll through, with only a few I’d ever use. I wanted a small collection of film looks, each worth choosing, and controls that feel natural.
A few good choices.
That’s Analogish: four seasonal films, a clean Neutral look, and a little room to make the camera yours. Tap for a photo. Hold for video. Keep your attention on what’s in front of you.
No signup, ads, or analytics. Your data stays on your device. A camera should help you make memories, then let you get on with living them.
